Some of you may use your Xbox 360 to watch Netflix shows on your television already, but wouldn’t it be cool if you could watch Hulu as well?  That’s what I was thinking when I went looking for a product that could do that.  I found it in PlayOn Digital Media Server.  Basically, this is a software program that runs on your networked PC and then streams online videos to your Xbox 360. They have a free trial you can use, but that expires after 14 days.  For only $40 it wasn’t a bad deal.

I tested it today when I went home for lunch.  I was able to watch television shows just fine.  It allows you to browse Hulu content by category and title.  The quality is lacking a bit, but not so bad it wasn’t watchable.  The Xbox Netflix application easily has the edge over this, but for those shows that I can only find on Hulu or even ESPN or YouTube, this application works great.
